Geograhpy of Afghanistan:
Afghnistan is one of many landlcked countries inside of the Middle East, it is also considerd to be the heart of Asia becuase it connects South, East, and central Asia with Western Asia. The Hindu Kush mountains roll right through the middle of Afghanistan started in norhteastern part of the country and ending on the southwetsern side. These mountains are very important becuase they divide the three regoins of Afghanistan: the Central Highlands (which contains the Himalayas which covers about two thirds of the country's area), the Southwestern Plateau (covers one fourth of the land), and then the smaller Northern Plains which also has the most fertile soil in the country.

The climate in Afghanistan changes frequently throughout the year. In the summer time it is extremly hot and dry, day and night. But the winters are the exact oppposite, they very cold and snowy. During the wet season, the annual amount of rainfall ranges from about 2.03 inches to even up to 39.06 inches in some places. Also, the temperautres can vary from getting down to -51 degrees in Chakhcharan but then up to 124 degrees in the deserts of Zaranj. h
